The narrative in these works has been constructed not so unlike this building would have been - its parts cast, selected, arranged and assembled into a whole. Narrative is inscribed in the PCF’s sequences of spaces. Every day the headquarters performs a spatial narrative. Even before you have crossed the threshold from outside to inside you have already entered a world that blends reality with fiction. These short narratives combine images and text to reveal the kind of encounter the building and its spatial forms might incite; a sudden mass gathering of glacial proportions and timelessness or the promise of sleep offered by a space in quiet recline. Here form is never mere form but has a dynamic of its own. Spatial liberation and play between bodies, both human and non-human characterise these narratives to reveal hidden or suppressed desires and longings like the one for collectivity.
